ABOUT
WHO IS HAYLEY?

I wasn't always into fitness. And I understand that it can seem daunting or unenjoyable. But my philosophy is that there is something out there for everybody; it's just a matter of finding what is right for you. We spend so much of our modern lives sitting down that it's increasingly important that we move, but, just like we all have different tastes in music, we each need to find our own taste in exercise.

I spent nine years as a secondary-school English teacher, and it was during this time that I discovered group exercise classes at my nearby gym. Many people find exercising alone a struggle, but the combination of music, a good instructor and a sense of community kept me motivated and provided not only stress-relief but also a counterbalance to many hours spent hunched over a desk marking.

In 2016, after a number of my instructors had suggested I train to do their job myself, I took the plunge and completed my Level 2 Exercise to Music qualification. This was swiftly followed by certifying to teach BodyPump, then BodyBalance and Group Cycle. Fitness is now my full-time profession.

Pilates was where fitness started for me, and so the wheel came full circle in qualifying to teach with the prestigious Body Control Pilates.

My studio is situated on Trinity Rise, between Herne Hill and Tulse Hill.

There is on-street parking (other than between 12pm and 2pm), and there may be some space on the drive! Bicycles can be locked by the front door.

Otherwise, it is a ten minute walk from Herne Hill Station, or six minutes from Tulse Hill. A number of buses also stop at Brockwell Park Gardens, as well as at the top end of Trinity Rise, at various stops.
